About
I've spent eight years inside enterprise systems. Not watching from the outside.
Fixing what broke, rebuilding what was never built right, and occasionally telling a
room full of senior leaders that the system they were proud of had a hole in it.
I started as a Chartered Accountant and a Company Secretary, trained inside PwC. Then
transfer pricing at KPMG — the discipline of arguing, in front of a tax officer, that a
number is the right number. Then an MBA at IIM Kozhikode, and back into consulting at
PwC and on secondment to Takeda, where I led global system integration and rebuilt the
commercial engine a sales team used every day.
Along the way I noticed a pattern. The hardest problems inside companies are
never technology problems. They're process failures that look fine on paper.
The policy exists. The committee is constituted. The report is filed. And the system
still fails the person who actually needs it.
That's the pattern I solve for now — and it's why I stopped stopping at the
recommendation. In 2023 I founded Datapuls AI: consulting on digital and business
transformation, plus my own products for the moments where the documentation ends and
reality begins. Some are open source. Some are commercial. All of them come from
seeing the same broken process one too many times.
The finance training is the part people underestimate. It's why every engagement on
this site has a number attached: I was taught to ask what something costs before I was
ever taught to build anything.
